After 2 days inspecting tourism services and products of MICE tourism at many famous destinations in Quang Ninh: Ha Long, Cam Pha, Uong Bi and Van Don, in the morning of November 30th, in Ha Long City, Quang Ninh Administration of Tourism organized a MICE Tourism Development Workshop. More than 250 representatives for Viet Nam Administration of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Tourism Associations; specialists in MICE tourism market; travel agents, airlines in Viet Nam, hotels and resorts in Quang Ninh… attended this workshop.

At the workshop, the delegated affirmed that Quang Ninh fully conveys potentials and advantages for tourism developent which is an attractive destination and a reliable address to organizing MICE tourism.
The workshop attracted more than 250 delegates representing for Vietnam Admisnistration of Tourism, Tourism Associations; specialists in MICE tourism market; travel agents, airlines in Viet Nam, travel agents, hotels and resorts in Quang Ninh.
The infrastructure, recreation and entertainment services have been developing very strongly to meet the needs of local people in general as well as MICE tourism in particular. The provincial and business leaders also pay special attention in training tourism human resources, especially in professional skills and foreign languages. With great advantages and potentials in natural resources, developed infrastructure, tourism human resources invested with relatively good quality, Ha Long in particular and Quang Ninh in general are considered as destinations of MICE tourism.

MICE tourism market is a very potential segment and Quang Ninh can exploit in the strategic target of tourism development in Quang Ninh. Currently, compared to major tourist centers such as Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang ..., the number of MICE tourists to Quang Ninh is not impressive. However, with full understanding about the potential of MICE tourism and with the dynamism of tourism businesses, MICE tourism will surely grow. In which to attract and develop this type of tourism, Quang Ninh needs to focus on strengthening tourism marketing, investment in tourism infrastructure development and support services ... MICE tourism in Quang Ninh is still considered as a potential and attractive market segment that travel agents need to find ways to exploit more effectively.
